Medieval buckle: Single looped buckle
Description
English: A cast copper alloy single loop buckle or strap fitting dating to the medieval period. The buckle is stirrup-shaped with an acorn-shaped knop protruding from the rounded end. There is a small hole in the strap bar. Similar examples are recorded on this database and they date to the 14th century, c. AD 1350-1400.
