Medieval buckle: Single loop buckle
Description
English: A complete copper alloy single looped buckle dating to the medieval period. The buckle is a small example, with a narrowed and offset strap bar. There is a triangular knop for the pin to rest on otherwise the frame is plain and undecorated. The simple copper alloy pin is retained. This type of buckle was common between AD 1250-1500.
