Title
Medieval buckle: D-shaped buckle
Description
English: A cast copper alloy D-shaped buckle dating to the medieval period. The buckle is missing its sheet roller on the expanded outer edge, but retains its pin on the recessed pin bar. The pin has a different patina to the buckle, suggesting separate maufacturing or a replacement. This style of buckle dates from c. AD 1250-1350.
