Title
Medieval bar mount
Description
English: A bent copper-alloy bar mount of Late Medieval date (cf. Egan and Pritchard 1991: 134).

The bar is of semi-circular section. A transverse ridge at each end of the bar separates it from a scallop-shaped terminal. The mount would have been attached by two rivets, one located within each terminal. One of these rivets survives in situ. In its current state, the object measures 34mm long, 10.2mm wide (width at wider terminal) and 2.6mm thick. The weight is 2.61g.
