English: Unusually massive Medieval copper alloy bar mount from a belt, bar with chamfered edges splayed from large perforated central lobe to both terminals with splayed perforation, 12 x 59mm. Cf. broadly similar and more usual (smaller ) types in Dress Accessories (1991) fig.134, nos.1154 and 1157-8. 14th century. |
