Medieval annular buckle
Description
English: Large Medieval copper alloy annular buckle (or ?brooch) of triangular section with flattened arris on front face and rectangular pin notch. The constriction for the (missing) pin, consisting of a broad rounded cut-out on the outer edge and a slight rounded one on the inner edge of the underside, may be the result of wear rather than a deliberate moulding. External diameter 44 - 45mm, internal diameter 32 – 34mm. Thickness 3 – 3.5mm. 14th-15th century.
