Description
English: An incomplete copper alloy medieval annular brooch dating to the 13th-14th century AD. The frame of the brooch is sub-oval in shape, and is decorated with moulded pyramidal ribs running along the top of the brooch frame. The frame is recessed for the pin to attach to. The pin is a piece of copper alloy wire bent round the frame to attach, part of the pin is missing in a worn break. There is no decoration on the reverse. The brooch has a light green patina, and measures 23.3mm in length, 20.1mm in width, and weighs 1.80g.
