Description |
English: Two fragments of a lead medieval ampulla, dating from c.1350-1550 AD. The ampulla consists of two worn pieces, the larger of which is part of the lower rounded chamber. On one side of this is raised cross hatching, no decoration survives on the other side. The smaller fragment is part of the other side of the rounded chamber, the break is worn. The larger fragment measures 39.4mm in length, 19.6mm in width, 3.9mm in thickness and weighs 11.67mm. The smaller fragment measures 25.2mm in length, 12.9mm in width and weighs 4.89g. |
