Title
Medieval Single Loop Buckle
Description
English: Medieval cast copper alloy buckle frame. The single loop frame is incomplete, as the strap bar is missing. The frame is oval in cross section and has worn breaks at each end. The outer edge expands in width and is encased in a sheet copper alloy roller. The roller has a central groove running around the circumference to double as a pin rest. The surface of the buckle is worn, with some pitting. It has an even mid green patina. The frame is 27.53mm long, 23.07mm wide and has a maximum thickness of 7.52mm.
