Medieval Plate Buckle
Description
English: Copper alloy rectangular single sheet metal plate. It is folded widthways. The front half of the plate is longer than the back and is decorated with a single framing incised line. It tapers slightly to the distal end where there are two rivet holes. There is a pin notch at the other end which is obscured by iron corrosion product. The sides of the front of the plate are slightly incurved at the proximal end. The back half of the plate is narrower and shorter than the front and is undecorated
