Description
English: Copper alloy possible Needle. Needle of rolled sheet metal with a flattened round head with probably drilled aperture of diameter 5.3mm, now torn open; the centre of the aperture lines up with a gutter where the sheet metal is rolled. The wide head may suggest a use as a netting needle or with sacking rather than for finer sewing. Suggested date: Medieval, 1200-1500.

Length: 38.9mm, Width: 10mm, Thickness (at head): 1.7mm, Diameter (mid point of shank): 3.8mm, Weight: 2.29gms.
