Medieval D-shaped buckle
Description
English: A medieval copper-alloy buckle frame. The frame is D-shaped in plan. The pin remains intact and is looped around the bar. A similar buckle is illustrated in Egan and Pritchard's book 'Dress Accessories 1150 - 1450', number 305, p 74- 75, which is dated from AD 1270 to 1350.
