English: A complete Medieval silver farthing of Edward I (1272-1307) minted at Bristol, 1279 (North 1991: 33, ref: 1052 class 2; Withers and Withers 2001: 36, Type 7).

Obverse: EDWARDVS REX; Crowned bust facing with wedged drapery and a trifoliate crown

Reverse: VILA/BRI/STO/LIE; Long cross dividing the inscription with three pellets in each quadrant

Diameter: 11.7mm. Weight: 0.35g. DA=12:9.
