Title |
Medieval Ceramic Building Material |
||
Description |
English: A single piece of ceramic building material of medieval date. One side appears to have some kind of incised markings, evident as a set of parallel diagonal lines, probably for construction rather than decorative purposes. There appears to have been a flint temper, and the fabric is of a red colour, in the small areas where it has not suffered from abrasion. The generic nature of the fragment means that it can only be given a wide date range within the medieval period. |
