Medieval Buckle
Description
English: Small copper alloy buckle with flat double oval frame, central bar, and missing pin. the back of the buckle is flat and the loops have an approximately semi-circular cross section. Similar forms from London have been dated to 1350-1450 AD (Egan & Pritchard, 1991, 82-3). The central bar is 20.62mm long and 2.49mm wide; the loops flare out slighty to a maximum width of 21.16mm; and the buckle is 27.01mm long in total.
