Medieval Bar Mount
Description
English: A Medieval copper alloy simple bar mount, dating to the period AD 1270-1350. The mount is rectangular in plan and rectangular in section, with chamfered long edges on the upper surface. There are two evenly spaced rivet holes with copper alloy rivets in situ. The mount measures 11.12mm in length, 4.65mm in width, is 3.33mm thick (inc. rivets) and weighs 0.49g.

Similar rectangular bar mounts are illustrated in Read (2001), p23, in particular no. 158, which is dated to AD 1270-1350.
