Medieval Ampulla
Description
English: Lead Pilgrim's ampulla. Flask shaped with a rounded lower part and a flaring neck. The edge around the neck opening is ragged. At the base of the neck at either side are the remnant stubs of the suspension loops. There is some surface scoring and corrosion resulting in little decoration surviving. There are traces of a shell design on one side.Date: Medieval - 12th to 15th century
