Medieval : Vessel Body Sherd
Description
English: A fragment of a wheel thrown ceramic vessel of Medieval date (AD 1100-1350). The sherd is of a York glazed ware. The sherd from the body of a vessel, the fabric is a fine buff sandy ware and thick dark green glaze is retained across the external surface and some to the internal surface. The external surface has a single raised linear decoration which could be a portion of a stamp or other decorative motif.
