Medieval : Vessel Base Sherd
Description
English: A fragment of a wheel thrown ceramic vessel of Medieval date (AD 1300-1450). The fragment is a base sherd with a concave internal surface and slightly flattened base convex external surface. The fabric is a buff sandy ware and is from a Humber ware vessel, there is no glaze retained. A band of oxidised grey is visible running through the sherd while the external surface is an orange colour.
