Title
Medieval : Lead papal bulla of Pope Gregory X
Description
English: A medieval cast lead papal bulla issued by Pope Gregory X (1271-6). The obverse reads GRE/GORIVS/PP [X]. on the reverse are busts of Saints Peter and Paul, each in a pelleted frame, and the legend SPASPE.

On the obverse two thinly inscribed horizontal lines have been added with a sharp instrument to the top line, which reads GRE. Across the lower line is a band of faint curvilinear lines made with a blunt-tipped instrument. These give a slight appearance of lettering though this seems unlikely to be the case.
