Medieval (probably) tweezers, one arm only.
Description
English: Cast copper alloy tweezers fragment, one arm only. Narrow triangular arm, tapering towards the broken loop. One surface of the arm is decorated with two longitudinal incised lines extending from the terminal roughly halfway up the arm, with diagonal transverse line border. There are traces of tinning/silvering on both surfaces. The arm is bent. Probably medieval, possibly Roman or Early Medieval. Length (bent) 55.75mm, width at terminal 9.01mm, thickness at terminal 0.7mm, width at loop end 4.16mm, thickness at loop end 2.0mm, weight 2.64g. See LON-2C1623 for a similar pair of tweezers, recorded as medieval.
