Description
English: A fragment of a copper-alloy 'lyre-shaped' buckle or strap-end of late medieval date.

Only part of the frame remains. It expands in width towards the vertical outer side, which has an elaborate moulding on the outside. This moulding has a wide central lobe and two smaller flanking lobes. The upper suface contains six small circular depressions. A similar moulding is located on the outside of the one largely intact horizontal side.

The piece measures 39.6mm long, 33.5mm wide and 2.5mm thick. The weight is 6.98g.
