Medieval: Vessel spout
Description
English: A separately-attached spout in the form of a dog's head, from a later medieval cast copper alloy vessel, probably a ewer. The head is well-modelled and has an upturned snout and drooping ears. Along the brow is separately-applied decoration in the form of a line of punched triangles.
