Title
Medieval: Strap end
Description
English: A fragment of a late medieval strap end which now comprises the hollow box, which is pierced by two rivets, which would have secured the end of the strap. The complete item was probably of 'lyre-shaped' form. One side of the box bears the engraved black letter initials RI within a rectilinear frame; the other side is undecorated. There are traces of a white metal coating.
