Medieval: Incomplete tubular or barrel padlock
Description
English: A incomplete copper alloy barrel or tubular padlock of Medieval dating (AD 1150 to AD 1300).

Around 25% of the padlock is present, consisting of a fragmentary barrel and arm or the part of the bolt and arm. The arm is set at parallel to a sub square loop. The loop is 8.7 mm wide and 2.1 mm thick. A rectangular hole, measuring 5.5 mm by 3.6 mm is present at the back of the loop. The sides of the loop are unfinished.

It measures 25.4 mm in length, 23.1 mm wide, and a maximum thickness of 8.7 mm. It weighs 7.0 g.

The padlock is a dark green colour, with an uneven surface patina.
