Medieavl spindle whorl
Description
English: A lead alloy decorated spindle whorl. In the centre of the object is a circular perforation. There are 5 circular petal-like loops with each loop containing a smaller, inner loop. Between the gaps of each loop is a an inverted V-shape.

Spindle whorls have reportedly been found in contexts dated from the Roman through to the Post-Medieval period although the majority are typically dated broadly to the medieval period c.1100-1500.
