Description
English: Capt. Craig Calkins, a field veterinarian assigned to the 43rd Medical Detachment, 21st Combat Support Hospital, 1st Medical Brigade, demonstrates the proper way to open a dog's mouth when observing during a class as part of the Operational Medicine Conference, at Fort Hood, Texas, Nov. 5. Calkins, who hails from Cody, Wyo., discussed common veterinary problems with military working dogs and other large animals.
