IND- IMP- reverse- a finely sculptured male figure gazing out across the sea towards the setting sun (symbolising rest after labour); inscription in exergue- FOR - FAITHFUL - SERVICE markings- medallist's initials below king's head- B.M ribbon- crimson with central blue stripe; 38mm wide named on edge- EDWARD HOUGH
