Notes Royal Navy Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (VR) Medal awarded to Henry (or Harry) Trash, Coxswain 1st Class, HMS Excellent, Royal Navy. The original HMS Excellent was launched in 1787. In 1830 she became a gunnery training school, and from that time the name HMS Excellent was given to a shore establishment at Portsmouth.
