English: United Fire Brigade Association Long Service Medal (for 5 years service) with one clasp Medal awarded to John Challinor Clough, Grey Lynn Fire Brigade, 1903 circular silver medal; ornate suspension bar featuring miniature shield with crossed axes and helmet surmounted by phoenix, and a draped scroll engraved with name of brigade; on ribbon with one additional clasp for 2 years's service obverse- centre field a fireman holding hose; shields either side; on lhs royal coat of arms with British floral emblems above, and on rhs shield with crossed axes and helmet with phoenix above; legend above- UNITED FIRE BRIGADE ASSOCIATION, with initials NZ either side of fireman's head; motto in exergue- AUXILIUM IN - PERICULO (Help in Danger) reverse- legend inside beaded rim above and below- LONG SERVICE MEDAL - PRESENTED - TO - FOR FIVE YEARS SERVICE - DATE COMPLETED; engraved with details of recipient and date 5 years service completed- - FIREMAN - J.
