English: Greek Red Cross Commemorative Medal for Second Balkan War 1913 The medal belonged to Nurse Nina May Palmer, NZRN, Greek Red Cross circular bronze medal; straight bar suspender; with ribbon obverse- head of King Constantine I of Greece, legend around- ‘ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΟΣ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΥΣ ΤΩΝ ΕΛΛΗΝΩΝ 1913’ (Constantine King of the Hellenes 1913) reverse- head of Emperor Basil II; legend around- ΒΑCΙΛΕΙΟC Β 976-1025 (Basil II 976-1025) ribbon- white ribbon with pale blue stripes at each side and central stripe of green markings- reverse- medallist's name signed at base of neck- G. Notes Greek Red Cross medal for Second Balkan War, 1913 (against Bulgaria). This medal belonged to Staff Nurse Nina May Palmer (NZRN). New Zealand Registered Nurse Nina May Palmer served with the Greek Red Cross in Macedonia during the Second Balkan War 1913 and with the French Red Cross and the British Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Service Reserve (QAIMNS)R in France during WW1 1914-1918.
