Notes Waterloo Medal 1815 Medal awarded to Major Leslie Walker, 1st Battalion, 71st (Highland) Regiment of Foot. During the Battle of Waterloo the 1st Battalion of the 71st Regiment lost 16 officers and 171 men killed or wounded out of a total strength of 810 men. Major Walker is possibly the same person as Captain Leslie Walker, reported wounded in 1813 during one of the battles in the Peninsular Wars.
