English: India General Service Medal 1854-95 with bar for Burma 1887-89 Medal awarded to 1592 Pte O McTigue, 2nd Battalion, Cheshire Regiment silver medal; floreated swivelling suspender; one bar; with ribbon obverse- diademed head of Queen Victoria with the legend VICTORIA REGINA reverse- winged and standing figure of Victory, who is crowning a seated warrior; in the exergue is a lotus flower and four leaves denoting connection with the East ribbon- red with two dark blue stripes bar- BURMA 1887-89 named on edge- 1592 Pte. O McTigue 2d. Bn. Ches. R. markings- obverse- medallist's name below VR shoulder- W.WYON R.A. reverse- medallist's name below lotus flowers- L.C.WYON
