עברית: החלק העיקרי של חיה שמיועד לאכילה, הכולל רקמות שריר, איברים פנימיים ועוד. בבשר יש הרבה חלבון, שומן רווי, ברזל וויטמינים שונים כדוגמת B12 ומינרלים כדוגמת אבץ. קיימות סיבות שונות לאנשים שנמנעים מאכילת בשר, והם מכונים צמחונים ואף טבעונים (כינוי למי שלא אוכל מוצרים מן החי).
