| Description |
English: McLaren Technology Centre across the lake. Photo taken from the public footpath which has been diverted to the west to go round the car design centre, designed by Lord Foster, see McLaren website http://www.mclaren.com/technologycentre/. The building was a runner up for the 2005 RIBA Stirling Prize. The lake is not just ornamental - it provides cooling water for the wind tunnel. Former farmland west of the centre has become access land, planted as wildflower-rich meadows. |
