Description
English: A U.S. Air Force McDonnell Douglas F-15C-26-MC (s/n 89-0064) and an F-15D-26-MC Eagle (s/n 89-0012) of the 22nd Tactical Fighter Squadron, Bitburg Air Base, Germany, taxi down the runway at RAF Alconbury (UK) during Exercise Red Star '87, 1 July 1987. The annual exercise, which was hosted by the 527th Aggressor Squadron, employed Northrop F-5E Tiger II aircraft and General Dynamics F-111 aircraft to simulate Soviet formations and tactics.
