Mayfield House now Trinity Way, Edinburgh

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Mayfield House, Trinity, Edinburgh was the home of the Salvesen family who founded a shipping line and other business. They gave part of their land for the building of Earl Haig Gardens, housing for disabled veterans of World War I and memorial to family members lost in action. The house is now converted to flats as part of a development called Trinity Way which includes newbuild. The gateposts and retaining walls are also shown, but original gates are at the circa 1830 lodge house.
