Description
Greenstone ornaments were part of Maya nobles’ regalia. The hieroglyphs of the bead on the left, which hung horizontally, refer to two Maya rulers. The one on the right was cut in half in antiquity; it probably dangled from an elaborate belt crucial to royal costume.
