Summary
[edit]DescriptionMaxergon Logo Meaning.jpg |
English: Maxergon‘s logo is the tip of an obelisk. The obelisk has always been an important symbol of stability, durability, tenacity and power (of course apart from representing the sun god Ra in Ancient Egypt), and many Egyptian obelisks have been relocated to various cities to carry their symbolic meaning there. In addition, obelisks have been constructed around the world (think the Leningrad Hero City Obelisk or the Washington Monument, for example).
Maxergon views the obelisk as a symbol of respect to the past civilizations and their achievements (the kind of respect displayed by the Renaissance masters), the maximal effort, perseverance, perfection, dedication, and the dream of reaching the sky (in the direct and figurative senses of this expression). The circle around the obelisk reinforces this meaning; it symbolizes the ultimate perfection, never achievable in purity but powerfully alluring, and also a cyclical nature of history and life in general (think, for example, the circle of Nataraja). The fact that the logo refers to and has been taken from the cultural wisdom of various civilizations (Obelisk – Egypt, Nataraja – India, the Renaissance – Italy) shows that Maxergon is of cosmopolitan philosophy – no civilization is supreme and all civilizations have unmatched achievements for others to learn from. In addition, there are other possible interpretations; one can find an embedded symbol of peace (formed by the edges of the obelisk), and possibly see the logo as a tip of a dip pen. Indeed, Maxergon promotes peace through education (the dip pen) fostering respect to the present and past civilizations. |
