Summary

[edit]
Description

c/n 283/54C The MH.1521C was an export variant, four of which were operated by the Portuguese Air Force. The type saw combat on Portuguese Guinea during the independence war, acting in the artillery spotter, light transport and ambulance roles until replaced by the Dornier Do27. This example was the last of the four to be delivered and was previously allocated the French military callsign F-ZKAV. Later given the Portuguese civil registration CS-AQJ, it has been with the museum at Sintra since at least 2005. It is currently on display in Hangar 2 ‘African Military Campaigns’. Museo do Ar, Sintra, Portugal.
