Description

This mausoleum is located right next to the mausoleum of Aisha Bibi (I read it was built "20 paces away" but I didn't try to count). Who was Babaji Khatun? Well, either Aisha Bibi's nurse, assistant, or someone who Karakhan hired to care for Aisha Bibi's mausoleum. All the variations say she is someone who cared for Aisha Bibi either during or after her life. Babaji Khatun got her own mausoleum so close to Aisha Bibi, so that she can continue to care for her for the rest of eternity. Or something like that.

In any case, the Babaji Khatun mausoleum is definitely the junior partner to the Aisha Bibi mausoleum. It's smaller, less ornate and generally less interesting to look at.
