CARIBBEAN SEA (Oct. 4, 2016) A GOES-13 satellite image from the Navy Research Laboratory, Monterey Marine Meteorology Division, of Hurricane Matthew in the Caribbean Sea at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. The Category 4 hurricane made landfall on Haiti's Tiburon Peninsula with sustained winds of 150 mph. The National Hurricane Center in Miami expects the storm to make another landfall on the eastern end of Cuba near Guantanamo Bay before threatening the Bahamas.
