Summary
[edit]DescriptionMatshita PD-1 LF-1000 (laser assembly).png |
English: Disc motor with centering hub and the laser assembly of a Matshita/Panasonic PD-1 LF-1000 optical disc drive. Also of note are the spring-loaded plastic stops at the back of the tray. The LF-1000 is a Phase-change Dual (PD) drive compatible with two types of optical storage media. It can process rewrite-able 650 MB discs enclosed in a protective cartridge, or behave essentially like any ordinary 4x SCSI CD-ROM drive when reading CDs. Compatibility with CD-Rs is surprisingly good for a device of this age. |
