English: The Matka canyon is also a true oasis with various and well preserved autochthonous fauna , a great number of relic and endemic species, as well as typical examples of newly discovered animal species can be found there, the most fascinating is the exclusively great number of various kinds of butterfly species, 84 of which can be found there and nowhere else on the Balkans. Македонски: Кањонот Матка зафаќа површина од околу 5.000 ha и се наоѓа на 17 km југозападно од Скопје, тој претставува кањон на реката Треска, која е десна притока на Вардар и според морфогенетските карактеристики претставува клисура-пробојница со карстните форми - десетте пештери со должина од 20 до 176 метри и двата пропасти со длабочина до 35 метри |
