Description
English: 10/07/2011 at the Cheshire Steam Fair. The Matchless G3 was a 350cc, 16hp, single cylinder bike, and one of the first to use hydraulic front forks and rear suspension. It was developed in 1940 to a War Department specificatrion for a lightweight motorcycle for army use. Around 80,000 were made in WD guise. Postwar it was undated several times, and production finally ceased in around 1967.
