English: This tractor is an experimental Massey Harris General Purpose tractor with serial number X-1. This tractor was very innovative at its inception with the 4 wheel drive feature. 3000 were manufactured and sold from 1930-1935 with a Hercules Flathead engine. 400 were manufactured and sold from 1935-1936 with a Hercules OHV engine. The posted experimental X-1 tractor has a one of a kind Continental Engine, the only GP with this engine. |
