Masque Yoruba Bénin 20è siècle Bois, pigments Collection particulière Courtesy Galerie 1900-2000, Paris Ce masque a été donné par le critique d'art Félix Fénéon à son ami le peintre Émile Compard (1900-1977) Oeuvre présentée dans l'exposition "Félix Fénéon (1861-1944). Les arts lointains", au musée du quai Branly-Jacques Chirac, Paris <a href="http://m.quaibranly.fr/fr/expositions-evenements/au-musee/expositions/details-de-levenement/e/felix-feneon-1861-1944-38064/" rel="noreferrer nofollow">m.quaibranly.fr/fr/expositions-evenements/au-musee/exposi...</a> Cette exposition, très érudite, est le premier volet d'un hommage à Félix Fénéon (1861-1944), critique d'art visionnaire, éditeur, marchand d'art, ami de Seurat et de Signac, qui a été l'un des premiers collectionneurs d'art extra-occidental, notamment "d'art nègre" comme on l'appelait à l'époque ou plus généralement d'arts lointains.
