Summary

[edit]
Description A small group of zebras away from the main herd. It's at times like this that predators strike, seeking to isolate individuals away from the herd to kill them for food. But fortunately, this is mid afternoon, the sun is beating down with full force, and the predators are all resting in the shade, so there is no imminent danger for the moment. It's usually lions, working in groups of four or six that bring down large prey like zebra, buffalo and at times even elephant calves. (Oct/ Nov 2010)
