are applied; thatthe glycerinized solution forms a thin filmover the surface that does not immediatelydry off. In other words the glycerin holdsthe Silvol to the spot. Silvol has been successfuly used in thetreatment of nasal and pharyngeal inflam-ations, both acute and chronic. One practi-tioner reports his experience with a 20-per-cent, solution of Silvol in over five hundredcases of various nasal, laryngeal and- eardiseases. The solution was used either as aspray, instillation, or topical application. An eastern specialist reports gratifying suc-cess with Silvol in the treatment of twenty-five cases of antral infection. The treatmentconsisted in first irrigating the sinus withnormal salt solution, then injecting it as nearlyfull as possible with a 10-per-cent. solution ofSilvol, repeating daily.
