Description

According to the tour book we brought along, <a href="http://www.amazon.com/STREETS-SILVER-GOLD-ebook/dp/B00221Q04K/" rel="noreferrer nofollow">Streets of Silver, Streets of Gold</a> by John Child, these are not the "Wisdom Eyes" of Buddha seen looking out in four directions from the stupas found throughout the valley, but more likely related to a Tantric spell.

By the way, if you're planning a trip to Kathmandu and enjoy walking, I can't recommend this book enough. It's great. It won't keep the touts and would-be tour guides from continually offering their services, but it's full of great information and the routes are fun. Having it on your smart phone makes it conveniently inconspicuous, too.
